Hosting & Domains

All websites need a domain name - such as www.knighton-web.com or www.google.com.  If you haven't already got one, we can help you get the right one for you and configure it properly so that your customers can find you.  If you have one already, we can arrange for it to be re-pointed to your new website.

We can arrange for your website to be "hosted" on a high availability web server situated in a state of the art server room directly connected to the Internet by a high bandwidth data line.  In some circumstances we can also work with your existing host so that you don't need to make any new arrangements.

   

Content Migration

Most organisations have a website already with a lot of important information they don't want to loose.  Copying all of this information into a new content management system can be a daunting task, especially when going through the learning curve of using a new system.

Photography

Images bring a website alive, we have access to  millions of affordable images, vectors and clips to help you tell your story.  If you would like photographs of your own - we can arrange for a photographer to help you.

Please be aware, we do not put photos of people on our websites who have not consented (or parents have consented) to have their image displayed on the web.

A blog is a "Web Log" - a list of entries in reverse chronological order.  The entries are typically either a regular commentary on a specific subject or an online diary.  These are useful for keeping your website alive and interesting.  People soon give up on websites if they never change.  The advantage of having a blogs is that it keeps a site engaging and current.  Some blogs allow site visitors to comment on stories.  This is a very useful way of getting feedback on your service.  The disadvantage is that any site visitor input will need to be monitored and this can be time consuming.
